I Love My Job!

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24

Am I weird?

I love my job.  I love to work. Is that weird?  Sometimes I feel like it is but that is just how I’m wired. I love a job well done. I love the process of taking a project from the idea to completion. I love the feeling when a process is tweaked and moves along with minimum effort.

My job at COTHA is in what we call my sweet spot.  Administration…making things run
smoothly… assisting others in their ministry…creating and maintaining processes.  It’s a job that lines up with my gifts and strengths. But that’s not the only reason I love working at COTHA…

Today’s top 10 Reasons I Love Working At COTHA:

#10 An old friend once said that he felt he was called to the priesthood so God could keep him close.  Amen to that!  Working at COTHA keeps me very close to God and his work.  I am my best within the circle of other followers.

#9 Summertime: Kids running around and laughing, dogs barking and chasing, mission trips, VBS, shorts, and flip-flops!

#8  We play games…our latest – Heads Up.  Hilarious charades app!

#7 We play dress up…and dance.

#6  Daily corporate prayer.

#5 Hello…dogs greet you at the door.

#4  We laugh…a lot.

#3  We believe in the sweet spot…matching up gifts and skills.

#2  We are a biblically functioning staff working for a biblically functioning church!

#1 And one of the top reasons…we’ve been known to go muddin’ during lunch!
