Day 28 – Run Your Race

Do you know how many hours I’ve spent in this room?  Probably hundreds if not thousands.  It’s the student room in our church and I’m going on year 8 of ministering to students.  It’s a great ministry to be involved in but I am a little bit tired.  Could be the fact that it’s 9p and my day started at 5a lol – but it’s also been a long journey.

From the time my children were little I knew I was called to walk with them through the phases of their journey.  While in elementary I was a Sunday school teacher…then JH and SH and it’s Wednesday night, Sunday morning, lock-ins, mission trips, and more.

But now the end is near with Evan in his junior year of high school.  But the end is not right now…even though it is tempting to start slacking off.  Any slacking off would be to laziness rather than being called somewhere else…that happens sometimes but yeah…no calling elsewhere…just one tired momma :)

…and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1

IMG_1890Note to self: The days are long but the years are short… stay engaged and run your race.  You will miss this…you will miss these days. Enjoy them to the last drop.
