It’s 5-minute Friday and today’s prompt is EAT…and your blog today will come from
Confucius and King David…
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:8-14
I remember the time before I became a Christian – I also remember a couple of days ago when I rolled my eyes at the wisdom of scripture. No one that I know likes to be told what to do and furthermore, no one really likes to be chastised. And that is what is hard sometimes when allowing yourself to be transformed…being brave/humble enough to realize that we need guidance and correcting.
I don’t like to eat crow – I’m sure you don’t either – watch that tongue – and speak words of love, kindness, joy. Taste the Lord’s way and see that it is good.
