Good Lord…where does the time go??? Even with the best of intentions I cannot seem to keep this blog updated…sigh. I could give a slew of excuses but that’s what they’d be…excuses. Like the image on the right suggests…blah, blah, blah…just do it…whatever “it” is…if it’s important enough, make time for it. Enough of that…where are we?
Week 11 – Time to Cleanse
We…we are 10 pounds over our ideal weight…okay, not we…me. My newly acquired latte habit combined with a week on the road has really caught up with me and enough is enough. I started the Standard Process cleanse this week to kickstart losing weight (and resetting habits) and it’s been a challenge. Vegetables only…however, Standard Process has issued a cookbook and it has been fabulous…three meals per day. But talk about planning…I’ve gotta be on the ball…
Week 10 – Spring Break
Wonderful week in the Arkansas wilderness…lots of campfire grub, carbs, sugar, etc. S’mores anyone?
Week 9 – Be kind to yourself
I found myself on Monday with absolutely no idea what to cook. No plan, no ingredients, no nothing. That, my friend, is no good. I’ve increased my yoga practice lately and one of the things that is practiced is self-love. Hang with me…I’m not going all hippie on you…but the practice has made me aware of how hard and unrealistic I am to myself. It’s made me aware of how awfully I talk to myself. Now back to Monday…no plan, etc. Well…that voice WAS NOT very supportive. So deep breath, find something in the freezer and wing it. Dinner was terrible but edible.
Lesson learned? Make it a priority to plan meals on the weekend and have shopping done BEFORE the week begins…be nice to yourself.
The rest of the week? No idea…probably a rodeo, some pizza, and breakfast for dinner.
